Mission

Our Mission

At OUThere by Marcus Chaves, fashion is about more than beautiful clothing. It is about intention, community, and using success to create meaningful impact.

Marcus was raised in a family deeply committed to service. That commitment continues through Missions Ministry, a U.S.–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by his family, where Marcus serves as Vice President alongside his sister, who leads the organization as President. Together, they carry forward their family’s mission of supporting children living in extreme poverty and social vulnerability through education, sponsorship, and long-term community development.

Missions Ministry believes that the most powerful way to change the future is to invest in the lives of children. Through sponsorship programs and social initiatives, the organization helps provide access to education, nutritious food, mentorship, and the resources children need to grow into confident, capable adults.

The goal is not only to meet immediate needs, but to support the full development of each child, empowering them to become active participants in their communities and authors of their own futures.

When a child is given the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive, the impact reaches far beyond one life. It strengthens families, communities, and the future of the world we share.

Our Commitment

Through Missions Ministry, we support initiatives that work to:

  • Protect children from conditions of extreme poverty and vulnerability
  • Provide access to education and developmental opportunities
  • Ensure children receive nutritious food and essential care
  • Promote dignity, independence, and community leadership
  • Create long-term pathways toward economic opportunity

Our Vision

Missions Ministry envisions a world where children are protected, educated, and empowered to build meaningful lives for themselves and their communities.

The organization strives to bring together individuals and partners who share a commitment to promoting compassion, opportunity, and social equality. Through education, vocational preparation, and community support, Missions Ministry works to create lasting change that extends across generations.

How OUThere Gives Back

OUThere by Marcus Chaves was built on the belief that success carries responsibility. The same intention that guides the curation of every collection also guides our commitment to giving back.

Marcus proudly supports Missions Ministry, the nonprofit foundation founded by his family, where he serves as Vice President. Through this organization, efforts are focused on supporting children living in conditions of extreme poverty and social vulnerability through education, nourishment, and long-term developmental support.

The work of Missions Ministry helps ensure children have access to opportunities that many take for granted: quality education, stable resources, and the support needed to grow into confident, capable members of society.

At OUThere, we believe that impact can take many forms. Whether through awareness, partnerships, or direct support of the foundation’s initiatives, our goal is to help extend the reach of the work being done to protect and uplift vulnerable children.

Every step forward for a child, a family, or a community creates the possibility for a more just and compassionate world.
